Memphis Continues To Roll On
No. 1 memphis has quietly been under the radar, but they just continue to roll on. Yesterday they beat Gonzaga for their 19th straight win by a score of 81-73 win. The Tigers got 21 points from Chris Douglas Roberts and Derrick Rose added 19 points to keep the Tigers undefeated. Memphis at times struggled and they are far from perfect. Someone will beat them as it's very hard to be perfect all season long. It's the law of averages.

Kevin Garnett Saves Celtics From Big Upset
Kevin Garnett left the game with a stomach ailment aginst his former team the Minnesota Timberwolves, but got back in time to make an lasting impression on the Celtic faithfull when he knocked away a ball from Sebastain Telfair to seal the victory for the Celtics.
The Celtics Got 21 points from Kendrick Perkins as they beat a team full of former Celtics by a score of 87-86. This came was closer than many people expected it to be, but it just shows you how hard it is to win every game by large margins in the NBA> It's a very tough league so this really doesn't surprise me much.

Tom Brady Where Is He?
It seems everyone is worried about Tom Brady and his foot. Brady is nursing a sore ankle and will probably have it as he enters into Super Bowl week. one of the things that the New England Patriots are good at is not always being truthful. They will hide the injury to Tom Brady for as long as they can. This is just how it works.
They want the Giants and the public to know as little as possible about the injury to Brady. The bottom line though is Brady will start the Super Bowl and they will have to break his leg for him to come out of it. This is what the Super Bowl means to Tom Brady. Look for him to be at the game with bells on ready to play.

Will Bo Pelini Make A Difference At Nebraska
Bo Pelini was passed over for Bill Callahan and now he must turn around a program that in truth is really not very good right now. The famed blackshirts defense was one of the worse in the NCAA this year. That was a part of Nebraska football that people took great pride in at Nebraska. Pelini was the defensive coordinator at Nebraska before so that is one area that should improve quickly.
Offensively I look for Pelini to go back to the run first style offense that Nebraska has been famous for. The west coast offense that Bill Callahan brought in just didn't work out for Nebraska and that's why he isn't the head coach anymore. It will be interesting to see what changes Bo Pelini make right away as he has a lot of work ahead of him.
New England Patriots Still Perfect
The New England Patriots didn't play their best game of the season, but did just enough to win and that's all that really matters. The Patriots stop the Chargers by a score of 21-12 as when the fourth quarter arrived the patriots were able to run the ball and chew up the clock and the Chargers had no answers to stop their running game.
In the Chargers defense though Phillip Rivers was hurt and L.T. only play for three plays before sitting rest of the game out. The Chargers had plenty of chances in the red zone, but couldn't get it in the end zone. This basically cost them the game and that is why the Chargers are going home and the Patriots are going to the Super Bowl.
Giants Are Super On Way To Super Bowl
Eli Manning wasn't given much of a chance today and I will admit I was one of those. I thought that Brett Favre would have no trouble moving the ball against the Giants defense, but it didn't work out that way. manning did enough to keep the Giants in the game and Lawrence Tymes made a good on a field good in overtime making up for two field goal missed late in the game to give the Giants a 23-20 win in overtime.
Brett Favre struggled to move the ball and a interception in overtime hurt the packers chances of winning the game. Favre will probably be back next year as they wasn't expected to get this far. The Giants have played the patriots already this season and this should be an interesting matchup as the Giants could have beat the patriots before. Should be a great Super Bowl.
