Popcorn Still A Great Treat For Everyone

Popcorn has been around for thousands of years as Native Americans first discovered it and today it has been refined, but still enjoyed just like it was way back then. There of course have been some major changes along the way which have included Gourmet Popcorn along with many other flavors as well. No longer is the consumer stuck with just the plain variety as we have many different varieties to choose from and baked several different ways as well.

The one thing about popcorn is it comes in all shapes and sizes and popcorn gifts are a great choice for the holidays. You can get it in big round decorative tins or just in a bag if that is what you want. It comes in a variety of flavors as well so you can find something for everyone on your shopping list. People love popcorn and that will never change as it has stood the test of time as a treat we love.

If you want to give Popcorn as a gift, do not forget to try The Popcorn Factory as they have a very vast selection to choose from that will delight any family member.

Brady Quinn Done For The Year

It looks like Brady Quinn has thrown his last pass this year as he is out for the season. Quinn tried to play with a broken finger, but did more harm to it and will be done for the season. I do look for Quinn to be the starter next year though.

One thing this does is open the door up for Derek Anderson. Anderson will now have a chance to audition for other NFL teams as I do not look for him to be back next year with the Browns. Look for him to get traded, but the Browns will not get much for him as his stock has really went down in the last few months.

Titans Stay Perfect Despite Struggles

The Chicago Bears had a good idea and that was to make the Tennessee Titans one dimensional, but that did not work either. Even though the Titans were only able to rush for 20 yards Kerry Collins threw for 279 yards, his first game over 200 this season. The Titans hadn't had a QB go over 200 yards passing since Week 13 of 2007. Tennessee seems to be doing everything right and until they make a lot of mistakes they will continue to win. As we know an unbeaten season does not mean that you will win the Super Bowl just as the New England Patriots.

Alabama Survives While Penn State Falls To Iowa

Penn State and Joe Paterno got their hearts broken again as The Iowa Hawkeyes beat the Nittany Lions in Iowa City by a score of 24-23. Daniel Murray kicked the game-winning field with one second remaining. Murray was just 1 for 3 on his field-goals attempts this season prior to the kick and hadn't made one since the season opener. In fact, over the past five games, Murray had more tackles (one) than field goals made (none). The Nittany Lions now do not have to worry about the BCS.

Meanwhile Nick Saban went back to LSU and came away with a overtime victory over the Tigers when John Parker Wilson scored on a 1 yard sneak as Alabama won in overtime by a score of 27-21 to keep their National Championship hopes still alive. Nick Saban was under heavy guard just in case something happen, but his team took care of business and Saban left smiling.

Heat Stop Spurs 99-83

The San Antonio Spurs season continued to seek to new lows. Besides losing to the Miami Heat at home by a score of 99-83 the Spurs will be without the services of Tony Parker for two to four weeks. This is a big blow for a team that has really struggled to win basketball games. It looks like someone will need to step up big for them.

As for the Miami Heat they are off to a 3-2 start and they could not be happier. Dwayne wade tossed in 33 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to power the Heat to the win. This is how the NBA is you never know who could be the next guy hurt. it is the nature of the beast.

No Bounty On Steelers

After the Commissioner got investigating the claims that their was a bounty on Hines Ward according to Baltimore Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs things changed according to Suggs. Terrell Suggs released a statement today stating that he choice of words were not very good and their was no bounty on his head at all. The truth is the commissioner go to him and the Ravens and I am sure he got his point across.

In the NFL other teams try to knockout players as this is a common occurrence so I know it happens, but when you come out and say it publicly the higher ups in the commissioner's office will not tolerated talk like that in the public.
