Cubs Lose Star Player But Win Game
The Chicago Cubs were able to beat the Atlanta Braves by a score of 7-2 yesterday, but in the process lost star player Alfonso Soriano who was hit with a pitch in the hand which was x-ray and found to be broken. It looks like Soriano will miss at least six weeks.
Lucky for the Cubs they are playing real well right now so losinf Alfonso Soriano is not as big as a hit it would have been a few years ago. This is a more complete Cubs team and they can compete with anyone right now. Look for the Cubs to be fine and ride out this injury without a problem.

Derrick Brooks One Of The Greatest Ever
How do we equate one of the greatest ever? Do we have to mention his name all the time or is he the assuming leader who shows by example. If you were looking for a leader than Derrick brooks would be at the head of your class. Brooks has anchored the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense for a long time and 10 Pro Bowls and 9 All-Pro seasons will get him in the Hall Of Fame.
What sets Brooks apart from others is his willingness to help others on his team and the community that is what a real leader is. Yes, Derrick is not the player he once was, but give me him any day of the week and I will win a lot of football games.
T.O. Frustrated With The Drug testing Issues
Terrell Owens is frustrated that he has been put in a program where he will be tested more often because of a lack of communication. T.O. who missed a random drug test now must be tested more often as that is the result of his missed test.
Now T.O. has said you can test him 10,000 times and he will come up clean everytime because he does not do anything illegal. That is probably true, but T.O. rules are rules and they must be followed no matter who you are. Just take the damn tests and you will be fine.
Lamar Odom What Happened?
Lamar Odom has been absent so far in the NBA playoffs and unless the Los Angeles Lakers get something out of him soon the Boston Celtics could be celebrating a NBA Championship. Odom seems like he is pressing and I really think it is really hurting his game. He needs to relax and let the game copme to him instead of him putting pressure on himself.
Kobe Bryant is going to need some help and unless Lamar Odom decides to step up it could really be a very short series for the Los Angeles Lakers. Bryant can only do so much as the Boston Celtics defense can take a lot out of you.

Memphis Continues To Roll On
No. 1 memphis has quietly been under the radar, but they just continue to roll on. Yesterday they beat Gonzaga for their 19th straight win by a score of 81-73 win. The Tigers got 21 points from Chris Douglas Roberts and Derrick Rose added 19 points to keep the Tigers undefeated. Memphis at times struggled and they are far from perfect. Someone will beat them as it's very hard to be perfect all season long. It's the law of averages.

Kevin Garnett Saves Celtics From Big Upset
Kevin Garnett left the game with a stomach ailment aginst his former team the Minnesota Timberwolves, but got back in time to make an lasting impression on the Celtic faithfull when he knocked away a ball from Sebastain Telfair to seal the victory for the Celtics.
The Celtics Got 21 points from Kendrick Perkins as they beat a team full of former Celtics by a score of 87-86. This came was closer than many people expected it to be, but it just shows you how hard it is to win every game by large margins in the NBA> It's a very tough league so this really doesn't surprise me much.

Tom Brady Where Is He?
It seems everyone is worried about Tom Brady and his foot. Brady is nursing a sore ankle and will probably have it as he enters into Super Bowl week. one of the things that the New England Patriots are good at is not always being truthful. They will hide the injury to Tom Brady for as long as they can. This is just how it works.
They want the Giants and the public to know as little as possible about the injury to Brady. The bottom line though is Brady will start the Super Bowl and they will have to break his leg for him to come out of it. This is what the Super Bowl means to Tom Brady. Look for him to be at the game with bells on ready to play.
