Dwayne Wade MVP In His Future?

If Dwayne Wade is not on your scorecard as a MVP finalist then you better write him in right now. Wade hit three clutch shots last night, but none was bigger than when he stole the ball from John Salmon with three seconds left and hit a running three-pointer to give Miami a 130-127 win in double overtime over Chicago. In all Dwayne Wade score 48 points and had 12 assists in the game for the Heat.

Wade was recently named the player of the month for February and there is no doubt he is one of the hottest players in the NBA right now. Wade can score at will it seems and he can carry the Heat himself when he needs to. Dwayne Wade is having a magical season that he does not want to see end and neither does the Miami Heat fans as well. Wade is going to have a tough time wrestling the MVP award from Lebron James, but a great playoff series might just do that.

Courtney Paris Makes Bold Prediction Puts Up Scholarship

Oklahoma's Courtney Paris has not only guaranteed that the Sooners will win the NCAA women's basketball title, she's willing to put up her scholarship to back it up. He scholarship is valued at around 64,000 dollars so she is giving up a lot. Do I think the University will take it back that is highly unlikely, but it still is a bold prediction. Paris and her Oklahoma Sooners are third ranked in the country and number one in the Big 12, but that's a bold prediction.

Connecticut has already beat Oklahoma by 28 points and stand 32-0, but she is passionate about the University of Oklahoma and their fans so you have to respect the young lady for putting this on the line. It shows she has the will to win a championship and you never know what this could do for her team. It could give them the incentive they need you just do not know. I will follow this story and tell you how well it comes out for her.

Team USA Make It 2 For 2 In World Baseball Classic

After a nail biter against Team Canada which they won Venezuela was next up and took a early lead against Team USA, but it only lasted a few innings as Adam Dunn hit another monstrous home run to help lead Team USA to a 15-6 rout of Venezuela. For awhile it looked like Team USA may get beat, but the bats came alive and adding Adam Dunn has proven to be a very good move.

Team USA has a lot of talent and they were embarrassed last time they were in this tournament and have something to prove to people and the World. So far so good as now they are 2-0 and in first place in their pool. They just have to keep hitting the way they are and they will be fine. Hopefully the pitching will also hold up as well and they can bring home the trophy to the United States.

Utah Jazz A Team To Watch Out For!

It took the Utah Jazz awhile to wake up, but when the fourth quarter arrived they were plenty ready to go. Deron Williams had 25 points and nine assists, Mehmet Okur had 19 points and 11 rebounds, and the Jazz beat the Toronto Raptors 109-101 on Sunday for their 11th straight win. The Utah Jazz are finally pretty healthy and that has been the big difference in the winning streak. In the NBA you need all your players if your going to compete night in night out and now the Utah Jazz have all the parts they need. This is one team in the Western Conference no one really wants to draw if they make the playoffs.

Terrell Owens Has Something To Prove

It is a good idea that Buffalo has only signed Terrell Owens for one year as it seems long term relationships with him just do not last that long. Owens will be paired with Lee Evans to give Trent Edwards and the Buffalo Bills a very good one-two punch on offense. Owens wanted to finish up as a Dallas Cowboy and he did not get to which hurt him a lot.

Owens is the kind of player who carries a chip on his shoulder and he has something to prove to everyone. People claim he was a cancer in Dallas so now that he is gone the Cowboys better win. For Buffalo they are getting a guy who will give you 100 percent on the field and hopefully a 100 percent drama free locker room as well. Terrell Owens wants to prove he was not the problem in Dallas and one way to do that is perform at a high level in Buffalo which I expect him too.

North Carolina Once Again Stops Duke Claims ACC Title

It was fitting that it came down to Duke for North Carolina to clinch the ACC Title as over the years these two college basketball powerhouses have never disappointed anyone when they play each other. On this day though North Carolina was not going to lose on their floor and they did not disappoint as they grabbed a 79-71 win over Duke and the ACC Title for North Carolina. The big difference in Duke and North Carolina is real simple the Tarheels have a lot more talent and are real deep. This win should cement North Carolina as a number 1 seed in the upcoming NCAA Tournament.

Atlanta Hawks Blow Lead To Cavaliers And Lose

For most of the game the Atlanta Hawks trailed Lebron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers, but they fought back and took the lead only to see James end their comeback story by a score of 88-87. The Hawks fought hard all night long, but could not hold the lead after they got it. With the clock winding down Lebron James drove to the basket and got the foul call with just 1.6 seconds left and hit one of the free throws to get the win. It was a close call and could have went either way, but when your a superstar many times you are going to get that call.
