No Bounty On Steelers

After the Commissioner got investigating the claims that their was a bounty on Hines Ward according to Baltimore Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs things changed according to Suggs. Terrell Suggs released a statement today stating that he choice of words were not very good and their was no bounty on his head at all. The truth is the commissioner go to him and the Ravens and I am sure he got his point across.

In the NFL other teams try to knockout players as this is a common occurrence so I know it happens, but when you come out and say it publicly the higher ups in the commissioner's office will not tolerated talk like that in the public.

Troy Polamalu Thinks NFL Becoming Like Touch Football

With the recent rules that the NFL has implemented it seems fines are on the rise for stupid things and Troy Polamalu of the Pittsburgh Steelers are not at all happy with it. The NFL in his mind has become nothing more than a glorified touch football league and in certain instances I tend to agree with him. Guys that played many years ago would never be able to play in this new NFL that players play in right now.

It seems you have to watch how you hit a player or a fine could come. This is something that Troy Polamalu is not a fan of. When you force players to be scared to hit someone hard because he will get fine than that is a problem. I say let them play as getting hit is part of the game. Yes, fine people who go over the edge, but do not fine everyone because some of these fines are not justified.

Tony Romo Needs To Sit And Not Play

Tony Romo the Dallas Cowboys starting quarterback may play this weekend after all. Romo who has a fractured pinkie may try to make it a go which in my opinion is a bad mistake. Romo should rest it and follow doctors orders so the injury does not get worse. He was scheduled to miss three to four weeks, but if he keeps playing and injuries it more he could be lost for the season and that is a much bigger blow than just three or four games.

Brad Johnson is a very capable backup and has won a Super Bowl so he knows what he is doing. Hand the ball to Johnson and let him run the team for the next three or four weeks until Tony Romo gets back. Losing him all season long could cost the Cowboys a lot more.

TCU Hands BYU First Loss And Ends 16 Game Streak As Well

BYU was hoping to crash the BCS party this year and proved they belong, but the one thing you must do is take care of business and against the TCU Horned Frogs that did not happen. TCU dominated them on both sides of the ball. On offense the Horned Frogs racked up over 400 yards on offense while on defense they held BYU to just seven points well below their average.

TCU got dominated by Oklahoma earlier in the year so I was not expecting much from them tonight, but they shocked me. This is what is great about college football you never know what can happen or what team can step up and get a big win. TCU proved that they can play good football when they want to.

Red Sox Stun Rays And Boston Crowd

The Boston Red Sox fans thought they were going to go home unhappy, but that was not the case last night. After falling behind 7-0 the Red Sox made a rally for the ages and got a 8-7 win and sent the series back to Tampa Bay. Dice-K who has been very reliable this season got shelled for the Red Sox and the bullpen was needed and they did a very good job this time out. J.D. Drew singled in the go ahead run with two outs in the bottom of the ninth to give the Red Sox the win.

For the Tampa Bay Rays it was a very hard loss to take and they will just have to move on and go from here. It is never easy to lose a game they should have won. The bullpen failed them when needed and that will happen especially when you play defending champions as they never want to go down without a fight.
