Kurt Warner Keeps On Rolling Along

Kurt Warner has had a rollercoaster career wherever he has played and the NFL is no different. He has been to Super Bowls and now he is the starting quarterback of the Arizona Cardinals. He has been alternating with Matt Leinert as the starting quarterback. With Leinert now gone for the season this season rests on Warner's shoulders. Can he lead the Cardinals to the playoffs?

With Kurt Warner it's hard to figure out as at times he has played extremely well and other times you wonder what he is thinking. In the end though this season it's all going to be on Kurt Warner to perform. The Cardinals need him to play well if they have any hope at all of making the playoffs.

Kenny Lofton Unsung Hero

Once as a Yankee he was called never good enough to be a Yankee. Now kenny Lofton has to be smiling somewhere as many of his hits had to put some daggers in the hearts of Yankee fans everywhere. Lofton played under Joe Torre and it wasn't something he remembers fondly. No matter what though he moved on and now is helping the Cleveland Indians go deeper into the American league Baseball Playoffs.

Kenny Lofton has tons of experience and being 40 years old you would think he would slow down, but that isn't the case at all in fact it seems he has gotten better with age. How many more years he has we really don't know. I guess we will just have to wait and see if anything else is left in the tank.

What's Next For The Yankees?

This could be one of the most interesting off seasons for the New York Yankees for a lot of different reasons. Mariano Rivera for one is going to test the free agent market and i look for A-Rod to opt-out especially if Joe torre isn't brought back. Look for others to leave to. This could be a massive exodus for the Bronx that hasn't been seen in a long time. The Yankees have many issues to resolve.

One of the first things is what to do with Joe Torre. I personaly think he will be fired and they will bring ina former Yankee to manage. Does Torre deserve to be fired probably not, but when you don't win championships heads will roll. As soon as a Yankee has a maanger in place than they can move from their.

Torre Bows Out Of Playoffs

The New York fans may have seen the last of Joe Torre as the Cleveland Indians beat the Yankees 6-4 to claim the series 3-2 and head to Boston to play the Red Sox. It looks like the Yankees are in for many changes including the manager Joe Torre being let go. Torre has done a wonderful job and the players love playing for him. The bottom line is no matter where your at it's all about winning championships.

But, lately Joe Torre just hasn't gotten the job done. Is it all his fault of course not, but that is who the axe will fall on though. Everyone knows it's not fair, but it's the way it works that's for sure.

How Bout Them Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys are either lucky or good as they overcame five interceptions from Tony Romo and defeated the Buffalo Bills 25-24 with two seconds left on a Nick Folk field goal. It looked like for awhile the Buffalo Bills had the game sewn up but the Cowboys would never give up and the Bills never put them away.

One of the things you learn in sports it's but your opponent away, because you never know what could happy in the end. The Bills didn't put the Cowboys away and now they are paying for that. The Cowboys came back and won a game they shouldn't have and the Bills are left answering why.

Ricky Rudd Given Clearance To Race

Ricky Rudd has been given clearance to return to the No.88 race car and resume his driving career for however long it maybe. Rudd had a separated shoulder and is schedule to retire at the end of the year, but you really don't know about race car drivers. they change their minds all the time.

I do look for Rudd to retire and become a part-time driver though which would probably suit him better. he doesn't like the daily grind of the every week racing. he is to the point where he doesn't need it anymore and I can't blame him at all.

Jake Delhomme Done For The Year

Jake Delhomme has decided to have season ending elbow surgery which is probably the best thing for him and the Carolina Panthers. David Carr will now assume the team leader role as the quarterback. This way he won't be looking over his shoulder and the offense can try and get better. With surgery Delhomme should be able to come back better than ever next year for the Panthers.

All is not lost for Carolina as they are only one game out of first place. They can still put it together and make a playoff run. It's just going to be up to David Carr to make plays and we will have to see how well he plays in the next dozen games or so.
