Do We Still Consider Jay Cutler A Quitter?

Before the facts we all considered Jay Cutler a quitter for not finishing the game, but now with an MRI we find out he was injured. Does this change anything about the perception about Cutler and how it played out? Now every person has a different threshold of pain and may his is not as high as others. I know most players would tell you they would try to give it a go and they would have to carry them off the field.

Cutler was injured, but when you are playing for a Super Bowl berth you have to not give up. Like I said before Favre and others would have stayed on the field. Emmitt Smith played a whole game with a separated shoulder. It's something you have to do when you want to get to the Championship level. No one really knows how bad Cutler's knee was except him and he will never tell. I guess we are all to sit and wonder why. The telltale sign for me was all the players who went to Twitter and ripped on Cutler. That speaks volumes to what the game means to people and individuals.

Did Jay Cutler Quit On His Team And The City Of Chicago?

Today is probably a day that Jay Cutler should just stay in bed. Do not read the newspaper, turn on the television, or go to the Internet. Cutler is not the most liked guy right now in the City of Chicago. Jay Cutler was not able to go back into the game because of a hurt knee and any chance of Chicago making a Super Bowl went out with it. Cutler was defended by his teammates after the game, but for how much longer is the question.

When you play a team sport there will be times that you have to play injured it is part of the game. When you are playing for a Super Bowl spot you just cannot give up as easy as Cutler did. Would Brett Favre sit out with a bad knee if he had a chance for a Super Bowl. It does not work that way as you must leave everything on the field. If the Bears would have lost with Cutler on a bum knee the fans and city would have understood. Just sitting on the bench and not giving it your all is hard for people to fathom.

I guess we will never know how bad Cutler was hurt unless he has a MRI done to his knee. The bottom line though is you have to play through it and give it every ounce of effort you have. If it was a regular season game you could understand that, but he was playing for a chance at a Super Bowl those things do not come around often.

Jay Cutler Wants To Be Traded!

Jay Cutler had a meeting over the weekend with the Denver Broncos and according to various sources nothing went well with the meeting and Cutler wants to be traded. Cutler has already put his home up for sale and that is a very good indication that he wants out. Cutler was not happy that the Broncos were considering trading him for someone else when he was suppose to be the quarterback of the future and I cannot blame him one bit. Many people have called Cutler selfish and taking this too far, but the bottom line is if they do not have confidence in him and do not want him around why stay. Cutler has been betrayed in a sense and this is one fence that will never be fixed it seems. I look for Cutler to be traded, but where.

Many rumors have surface, but one likely spot is in Cleveland where they have a surplus of quarterbacks and the Browns are looking to unload Quinn or Anderson. Trading for Cutler makes sense and for the Broncos they can get a quarterback in return and try to move on from this sticky situation they put themselves into. I guess we will see soon if he is moved as the draft is coming up and usually moving him now would make much more sense then waiting to do it later.

NFL News And Notes

It seems the off-season brings many different stories and so far this season it is no different. let's get right into today's news and see what is happening. LaDainian Tomlinson and the San Diego Chargers restructured the final three years of his contract in a deal that gives the team some needed cap room and it gives Tomlinson more job security and hopefully this will make both sides happy and they will get along better.

Jay Cutler who has been the talk of rampant trade talks had a conference call with Denver broncos brass, but it seems it did not go very well and they still have a very rocky relationship. The biggest problem is no player especially your starting quarterback who you drafted to be the man wants to be traded and when you do dangle the idea and he hears about it trust is broken. Once that trust is broken many times you never get it back. Might be a good idea to trade him now and save the headaches later.

Orlando Pace was cut by the St. Louis Rams as a cost cutting measure. He was a 7 time All-Pro, but has been slowed recently by injuries. It also saves the Rams money off the cap which is why it was done. Michael Vick's mansion went up on the auction block yesterday to pay off some of his debt, but the only problem was no one bid on it.
