North Carolina Once Again Stops Duke Claims ACC Title
It was fitting that it came down to Duke for North Carolina to clinch the ACC Title as over the years these two college basketball powerhouses have never disappointed anyone when they play each other. On this day though North Carolina was not going to lose on their floor and they did not disappoint as they grabbed a 79-71 win over Duke and the ACC Title for North Carolina. The big difference in Duke and North Carolina is real simple the Tarheels have a lot more talent and are real deep. This win should cement North Carolina as a number 1 seed in the upcoming NCAA Tournament.

Atlanta Hawks Blow Lead To Cavaliers And Lose
For most of the game the Atlanta Hawks trailed Lebron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers, but they fought back and took the lead only to see James end their comeback story by a score of 88-87. The Hawks fought hard all night long, but could not hold the lead after they got it. With the clock winding down Lebron James drove to the basket and got the foul call with just 1.6 seconds left and hit one of the free throws to get the win. It was a close call and could have went either way, but when your a superstar many times you are going to get that call.

Tasmin Mitchell Scores 21 Points In LSU Win
Tasmin Mitchell scored 21 points to help the LSU Tigers win a game finally at Rupp Arena by a score of 73-70. For most of the players on LSU team last year it was a very tough season as their coach John Brady ended up losing his job and that hit the players hard. They have come back this season and played well and with this win they can call themselves SEC Champions once again. For Kentucky it was another loss in a season that seems to get wortse for them. It looks like they maybe heading for the NIT and not the NCAA tournament which will not set well with the Kentucky faithful.

Dwayne Wade Scores 46 In Miami's Comeback Win
There are certain things you do not want to do to Dwayne Wade and one of those is make him mad. He is one of the players in the NBA that when you do look at. In the fourth quarter he got fouled and hit the floor hard with no call. In the process of all this it lit a fire under him as he went on a 15-0 run by himself in the fourth quarter to give the Heat a 120-115 win over the New York Knicks. Wade scored 46 points in all, but is a guy who lets his game do his talking and last night it talked very loudly.

Jon KiTna Shipped To Dallas For Anthony Henry
It seems the Detroit Lions are making it a habit of getting the better deals from the Dallas Cowboys than any other team. The Detroit Lions shipped unhappy quarterback Jon Kitna to Dallas for cornerback Anthony Henry. This moves saves the Lions 4 million dollars off the cap and also moves a player who really did not want to be in Detroit anyway.
For the Cowboys they needed a backup quarterback, but in my opinion a better option would have been Jeff Garcia. Losing Anthony Henry in my opinion was a big loss for the Cowboys who are really thin in that area and Henry was one of their better cover guys. He was not the best, but better than most on the Cowboys.. If the Lions keep getting players like this they should probably trade exclusively with the Dallas Cowboys.
Kansas City Cheifs Trade For Cassel And Vrabel
It seems that Scott Pioli is taking a page out of his days in New England as once he was named General Manager of the Kansas City Chiefs he has not stood still very long. After firing Herm Edwards he has now traded for Matt Cassel and Mike Vrabel to help out a franchise that has struggled lately especially in the quarterback spot. This move will give the Chiefs pieces that they can build around. The Chiefs gave up their 34th pick in the first round to get them which in reality wasn't really that bad.
For Matt Cassel it gives him a chance to prove he can play in the NFL long term which is something that he wants to do anyway. For the New England Patriots they have to hope that Tom Brady will be ready to start the season. If not they could have really put themselves in a real bind. I guess we will have to see how this works out for both sides.

Tiger Woods Loses 2nd Match
Tim Clark of South Africa played 16 holes without a bogey and pulled ahead for good on the back nine Thursday, knocking Woods out of the Accenture Match Play Championship with a 4-and-2 victory. Tiger Woods who looked rusty at times was able to get past his first round play, but Clark played well and made the shots that he needed to win.
For Tiger Woods this was just not his day and he will be back better than ever. People do have to remember he is coming off a long layoff and even though it is Tiger Woods if you do not play your best golf you will get beat plain and simple. Today he got beat by the better golfer and his name was Tim Clark.
