Has Barry Bonds And Roger Clemens Beat The System?

It seems Major League Baseball and the Feds had a clear cut case against Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens when it comes to using steroids. Most baseball observers believe they have used them, but proving that in court has been another whole issue. The Federal government has struggled to get convictions and Clemens was just awarded a mistrial, so you do not know where it is headed that's for sure.

Now even if both players walk away free men it really does not change the opinion of the public as a whole. Most   everyone agrees they both used steroids and that opinion will never change no matter of the court outcome. Just as Mark McGwire has come clean it's time these two players do as well. If not they will always be considered cheaters in the public eye. Admitting they did steroids will still brand them cheaters, but at least the public will have some respect for them. The way it stands right now they are just two guys the public would rather hear nothing about.

Baseball A Super Mess!

It seems as the days go by Major League Baseball becomes even more of a mess. A-Rod admits that he used steroids and the numbers that he got as a Texas Ranger was because of that. He tells us he has not used them since, but they still stay with you for a certain amount of time so we really do not know how much of a difference it makes today. Roy Oswalt had a pretty good take when he came out and ripped A-Rod saying that he cost him money in a way. I kind of agree with him as when pitchers talk contract many times they look at what you have done and against some of the better players in the league. With A-Rod on the juice in a way I guess it could hurt him.

Does A-Rod have to give back his MVP trophy that he won? I mean it was won not by himself, but with added help. Another question is how long are we going to leave the records in that players earned on the juice. Is it fair to all the players who have come before them and earned them the fair way. I think it is time that baseball rethink the steroids issue and the records as well. In my opinion a player should have no right to any type of award or record if he admits to using steroids. It is just not fair to other players who have done it the right way.

Records were made to be broken, but done the right way. I just cannot agree with keeping records on the books for players who have cheated the game, fans, and baseball. I think it is time to wipe these records out or at least put an asiterik by it so peoploe can decide on their own what is best.

A-Rod Comes Clean On ESPN

Well Alex Rodriguez did the right thing and came clean on an ESPN interview where he readily admitted that he used steroids and it was a mistake and he just was doing what everyone else was. At least A-Rod did come clean and did not try to hide the facts like so many other players have. I do commend him on being honest that way it will be a lot easier on him than if he denied it all the way until his retirement.

Now my real question is who are the other 100 plus players on the list. I do not think it was very fair to just leak one players name and ruin his career while the others just skate free it seems. If your going to implicate players the whole list should have been leaked instead of just one high profile player. I guess we may never know and that is the bad part. A-Rod did it, but he has over 100 people who did it as well that fans should also know about.

A-Rod Has Black Eye With Steroids Test

No matter what anyone tells you the positive test for Alex Rodriguez is going to put a black eye on his career. Before this people liked him as a player and now this changes everything. He is put in the same class as Mark McGwire, Barry Bonds, and others. He may not be using them now, but this will follow him at every at-bat this season along with every home run he hits.

People will be talking about is he really doing this or is he still on steroids and somehow getting around the testing process. A-Rod is really going to take a hit on this and that is a shame, but the bottom line is he cheated and that is sad. By giving no comment or talk to the union just makes him look even worse. He knew he had failed the test and would been better off just to admit it than hide the facts and than give no comment. It will be interesting to see how he handles this all season long.

Steroids And Baseball

It seems no matter where we look baseball players are getting suspended for steroid use. I just read where shipments of HGH were shipped to Clemens in the past. It just gets worse for baseball. It will be a shame if that is true and Clemens was a avid user.

Baseball and Bud need to come clean with all the information they have so we know the real truth. Until we do baseball fans will always doubt someone have a great year. It is a shame, but a fact of life. It seems everyone will be a suspect until baseball is cleansed of steroids.
