The Tampa Bay Buccaneers started early in rebuilding the Buccaneers, but I do not know if they are going about it in the right way. Derrick Brooks the outstanding linebacker with the Buccaneers who could be considered the greatest Buccaneer player ever was one of the surprise cuts. Other players who were released were Warrick Dunn, Ike Hillard, Cato June, and Joey Galloway.
All the other players should not come as a shock to Tampa Bay fans, but the Brooks move is strange to say the least. Tampa Bay is on a youth movement and I can understnad the reasons they did it, but Derrick Brooks deserved a lot better then how he was treated. He was always the guy who did the right things and was very big in the Florida community as well. I know this is a business, but Derrick should have been treated much better than he was.

Devin Harris Hits Half Court Shot To Save Nets
Devin Harris knew all he could do was toss it up and hope it went in and too his surprise his half court heave did go in. It took some time for the NBA officials to make sure it counted, but once they did Harris became a hero and gave New Jersey a 98-96 win over Philadelphia. New Jersey has been struggling lately so this is a big win for them as they try to make the playoffs.

Pat White Shows Great Skills At NFL Combine
Pat White knew when he came to the University of West Virginia he may have to switch to wide receiver to play in the NFL, but after his performance at the NFL combines that might change as well. White ran a very quick 40 yard dash and did everything he needed to do to show scouts he could play quarterback at the next level. His biggest problem is his size, but White has beaten the odds all his life so this could just be another hurdle he may have to overcome.
The one thing White will not be able to control and that is who drafts him which could determine what position he plays at the next level. Most people have him projected as a wide receiver, but that could change depending on who drafts him. White still wants to play quarterback and I know I would not bet against him as he has something you really cannot measure and that is heart. I will keep you posted on Pat White's journey and who drafts him and how he does in his first NFL season.
New York Rangers Fire Tom Renney
Everything looked promising for the New York Rangers this year as they got out of the gate quickly to a 10-2-1 record, but losing 10 of your last 12 have taken the Rangers out of contention for the Atlantic Division and could even miss the playoffs as well. The Rangers decided it needed a change and they fired coach Tom Renney and did not name a replace right away. Assistant coach Perry Pearn was also fired, but fellow assistant Mike Pelino was retained along with goalie coach Benoit Allaire, the Rangers said.
Will this turn the Rangers around I really cannot say, but you cannot get rid of the whole team right now so firing the coach is what they can do to hopefully jump start the Rangers again. Only time will tell if this is the right move. In the last few games the Rangers fans were chanting to fire Renney so at least the fans should be happy with this move.

Cardinals Up Offer, But Warner Still Unsigned
With just a few more days left you would think the Arizona Cardinals and Kurt Warner could come to agreement on a contract. The Cardinals have offered around 10 million a year which many people feel is a good number. Warner and his agent may want a little more so we will see how this plays out. Many NFL experts think if Warner leaves the Cardinals he maybe only offered in the 6-8 million dollar range so it is probably in his best interest to stay a Cardinal.
For the Cardinals if they lose Kurt Warner in my opinion they are in some trouble. Warner was one of the main reasons they were able to turn things around and make the Super Bowl. He was not the only reason, but a main part of it and they need each other. I hope a deal can get done soon as it reality it is best for both parties anyway.
Jerry Jones Gag Order Too Funny
Jerry Jones has always been one to make the rules so him being the one voice for the Dallas Cowboys now should not come as much of a surprise to anyone. Jones has always been about control and that is one reason Jimmie Johnson left and so have many others. He is the owner and does pay the bills so I guess he has a right to do things the way he wants, but he puts his coaches in a very bad spot which is never good.
Communication is very important when it comes to any sport your in and when your coaches cannot even speak about different subjects that brings up a whole slew of problems that Jerry Jones is going to have to deal with. From players to coaches and everything in between it will be very interesting to see how this works out for Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys. I just do not see it lasting a real long time as he will eventually get tired of answering questions all the time and will eventually remove the order before the season starts.
