Ravens vs Steelers A War This Weekend

If you are all about defense than you will want to catch the Baltimore Ravens as they take on the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC Championship game. Pittsburgh picked by many to go to the Super Bowl at the start of the season is not a surprise here, but the Ravens are. Everyone knew they would have a great defense and they do, but Joe Flacco has come on and made all the right decision when it counted and now he is just one game away from a Super Bowl.

This game may come down to who has the less turnovers. I see both defenses playing well and not a lot of points will be scored. It will be a fun game to watch and Sunday morning stop back and I will make my pick. (I have not decided yet who i like in this game.

Cavaliers Make It 19 In A Row At Home Against Celtics

Lebron James wanted to make a point to the Boston Celtics last night and I think they got his message loud and clear. James scored 38 points and put the clamps on Paul Pierce all night as the Cleveland Cavaliers walked away with a 98-83 rout of the Boston Celtics. As the crowd in Cleveland cheered M-V-P for James he played hard all night and now has to be the front runner as the MVP for the league. Cleveland with the win now is a perfect 19-0 at home. For the Celtics the struggles continue, but they are still an amazing 29-9.

Utah Deserve At least Co-Champion

The Utah Utes completed a perfect College Football season earlier this month with a thrashing of Alabama and the best the voters did for them was No.2 in the AP Poll. After watching the Oklahoma and Florida game the AP voters should have did the right thing and at least vote them co-champions as that would have been the right thing to do. Thank you BCS system for screwing another team that deserved to be called champion.

For Utah and their fans they got no respect this year from the polls or even the sportscasters either. They had one last chance to fix the BCS mess by voting them co-champions, but they did not even do that. Just goes to show you that college football is more of a popularity contest than it is about finding out who the best team in college football really is. Thanks again BCS for screwing another college football team.

Florida Wins Sloppy Game Against Oklahoma

I for one thought the game would be better played and more points would be scored, but in the end Tim Tebow did enough to get his Florida Gators a 24-14 win over the Oklahoma Sooners. It was an interesting game as until the fourth quarter it really was a back and forth game and once the fourth quarter arrived it seemed that Tebow just took over and Oklahoma really had no answers.

After watching Florida play it makes me wonder how mad Utah, Texas, and USC fans could be right now. I am sure all of those teams and their fans feel that their team could have beat either team last night and I really cannot argue with that at all. Neither team last night showed me a lot to be called the true National Champion so I guess the debate will rage on in the off-season as well. Below it the final AP Top five.

1. Florida
2. Utah
3. USC
4. Texas
5. Oklahoma

Chris "Beanie" Wells Heading To The NFL

Ohio State's super running back Chris "Beanie" Wells has announced that he will forgo his last year at Ohio State and enter the NFL draft. Wells is a running back that the Buckeyes will miss alot, but somebody in the NFL is getting a very special guy and athlete that leaves it on the field. Wells finished as the 4th leading rusher in Buckeye history with over 3,000 plus yards. Finding a replacement for him will be very tough as players like Wells do not come along very often.

Player Seasons Yards
Archie Griffin 1972-75 5,589
Eddie George 1992-95 3,768
Tim Spencer 1979-82 3,553
Chris Wells 2005-08 3,382
