Jason Taylor Now A Redskin

The Miami Dolphins have traded Jason Taylor to the Washington Redskins for some draft choices. This is probably a good move for both teams. The Redskins have already lost two defensive ends to season ending injuries so they needed someone that could fill the void.

Meanwhile the Miami Dolphins are rebuilding and get two draft choices in the deal. Bill Parcells and Jason Taylor was not on the best of terms anyway so this is probably a good move for both teams. Taylor has two years left on his contract and will probably play that out.

Will The Yankees Trade For Help

The New York Yankees are still in the thick of the American league race. They have signed Richie Sexson who was cut by the Seattle Mariners and they will probably look at other ways to help their team. The New York Yankees need some more starting pitching if they hope to win the American league East.

Tampa Bay and Boston have been the cream of the crop so far, but do not overlook the New York Yankees as they will have something to say about this race as it gets to September. The trading deadline is fast approaching so we will have to see what the Yankees do.

Manny And Red Sox Going Back And Forth

It seems that Manny and the Boston Red Sox are starting their battle early as far as his 20 million dollar option. Manny tells the newspapers that he wants a meeting to see where he stands while management tells the press he will get his meeting soon enough.

If I was Manny I would just settle down and wait this thing out. The Red Sox are really the only club that will pay Manny 20 million dollars so he should just settle down and he should get his money. If he pushes the issue he may never see his money.

Steroids And Baseball

It seems no matter where we look baseball players are getting suspended for steroid use. I just read where shipments of HGH were shipped to Clemens in the past. It just gets worse for baseball. It will be a shame if that is true and Clemens was a avid user.

Baseball and Bud need to come clean with all the information they have so we know the real truth. Until we do baseball fans will always doubt someone have a great year. It is a shame, but a fact of life. It seems everyone will be a suspect until baseball is cleansed of steroids.

Ben Sheets Gives Great Effort For Brewers

Ben Sheets showed the Atlanta Braves and everyone else why he is considered one of the better pitchers in baseball. Sheets tossed a four-hitter as the Milwaukee Brewers beat the Atlanta Braves by a score of 4-1. Sheets retired the last 16 batters he faced and got his third complete game of the season in the process.

Mike Cameron hit a two-run homer to help back Sheets pitching in the win. Sheets now stands 9-1 and has a chance to be a 20 game winner this year. The Brewers have a young talented ball club and could be one team down the road that teams are going to have to deal with. I guess only time will tell.

Shaq Disses on Kobe Bryant

I guess the feud continues between Shaq and Kobe Bryant even if it is only one sided it seems. Shaq was doing some freestyle rapping and was talking about how Kobe has not won a title without him. In case Shaq does not remember he did have a guy name Dwayne Wade helping him. Maybe Shaq forgot about him.

Kobe has tried to forget about Shaq and has kept his mouth quiet about their relationship so you have to respect Kobe for that. I guess Shaq has nothing else to do so one way to keep his name in the news is to talk about Kobe.

Celtics Make Improable Comeback To Take 3-1 Series Lead

The Boston Celtics this season has been one team that everytime you watch them you know they have a chance to win every game. Most of the time you cannot say that about other teams. The Celtics were down as many as 24 points to the Lakers, but kept chipping away and finally was able to take the lead in the fourth quarter. They went on for a 97-91 win and a 3-1 series lead.

Kobe Bryant had a terrible shooting night and that was the main reason the Lakers lost as no one else on this team can step up and help him out. Is it over? I would probably say so, but when you have Kobe Bryant you always have a chance to win a game and even a series.
