Mo Williams Is No All-Star According To David Stern

Mo Williams it seemed had done enough to become an NBA All-Star reserve, but David Stern thought otherwise. When Jameer Nelson of the Orlando Magic got hurt Williams and his teammates thought he had a good chance of making the All-Star game as a reserve. David Stern decided not to pick him and he went with Ray Allen which was another good choice, but the Cavalier fans and players are not very happy.

In fact Lebron James and his teammates call it a slap in the face and I tend to agree with that assessment. Williams is a very important reason why the Cleveland Cavaliers are 23-0 at home and doing very well this season. For Mo Williams this is the second snub the NBA has given him and it looks like the Cleveland Cavaliers are taking it personal so it will be interesting to see if it is a rallying call for them rest of the season or if it is eventually forgotten. Knowing Lebron James look for him to remember it for a long time and I am sure he will mention it plenty of times when he gets a chance.

MichaelJordan Still A Cut Above

It is always fun when you can compare different players it really sparks a lively debate. Maybe one of the best debates is who is better Kobe, Lebron, or Michael Jordan. The other day my son come home and asked me who I thought was better. He proceeded to tell me that he thought Lebron James was the best and that Kobe was second. I told him all three are great players, but without a doubt it is Michael Jordan. He asked me to explained which I gladly did.

First off all three are really good players, but Michael Jordan stands above them for a couple of reasons. First Jordan played great defense all the time. You would not see him take plays off like Kobe and Lebron does sometimes. Now I will admit both of these players are getting better on the defensive end, but no Jordan. The second thing that really made Jordan stand out is her rarely missed a free throw or a clutch shot. You knew if he had the ball in his hand it was game, set, and match. This is how good Jordan was and I just do not see either Bryant or Lebron ever reaching that height. I could be wrong, but only time will tell.

Lebron James Scores 52 In New York In Cavs Win

Lebron James tried to one-up Kobe Bryant, but was only able to manage 52 points in the Cleveland Cavaliers 107-102 win over the hapless new York Knicks. James who is neck and neck with Bryant for the MVP trophy has now scored 50 more than once at the Garden which he has always loved playing at. Many people think that this could become his playgrounds in the next few years. I do know if that is going to happen, but you never know I guess we will have t0o wait and see if that actually happens or not.

Houston Texans My Sleeper Team

Every year it seems we have a team in the NFL we just do not plan on doing well and this year it was the Arizona Cardinals who came out of nowhere to really surprise some people. Who could be the next team that steps up to surprise a lot of people. My personal pick will be the Houston Texans. I know everyone will say I am crazy, but they have enough talent to get it done and they are young and only getting better.

The Texans finished up last year real well and the schedule should not be too tough for them. They have plenty of weapons and if they can just get consistent play out of the quarterback position they will be fine. Last year the quarterback position cost them some games and turnovers was another big problem. I like the Houston Texans and the direction they are going so we will see if I am right or if it is just another blown hunch I've had.

NBA Wild Season So Far

Well now that the NFL season is done besides the Pro Bowl it is time to turn our attention to the NBA season and some interesting things are happening right now. In the Eastern Conference you have the Boston Celtics, Cleveland Cavaliers, and the Orlando Magic as the cream of the crop. With only one team that can go to the finals it will be interesting to see these Big three slug it out. Another team to watch in the Eastern Conference is the Atlanta Hawks as they are much better than people give them credit for.

The Western Conference is just as interesting as well with the Los Angeles Lakers looking to be the cream of the crop. San Antonio and Denver are two other teams to watch as well. I do like the Lakers out west even without Bynum their center who maybe lost for some time. The Western conference does have a lot of teams that could get hot in the second half so you just never know anymore.

One of the biggest things that these teams will have to deal with is injuries. As the season goes along they will pile up so we will have to see what a difference it really makes down the stretch. I think it could impact several teams in a big way if they lose any players for a prolonged period of time.

Ray Allen Does It Again For Celtics

Ray Allen seems to live for these moments and he made another one last night for the highlight reel. Allen took a pass from Paul Pierce and hit a three pointer with 0.5 seconds left on the clock to give the Boston Celtics a 100-99 win over the 76ers. The Celtics were without Kevin Garnett, but they still were able to get their 12th straight win. The Celtics Big Three or Big Two last night again made the plays when they were needed and that is all that really matters and as long as they do they will be tough to unseat as NBA Champion.

Kobe Bryant Sets Record In New York

Kobe Bryant knows he will have to step up since Andrew Bynum is not available for awhile so what did he do last night drop 61 points on the New York Knicks. Bryant heard heckles, boos, and even some MVP chants as he help his Los Angeles Lakers to a 126-117 win over the New York Knicks. Bryant just help close the gap between him and Lebron James for MVP votes with this performance.
